With about 360 to 400 million people speaking English as their first language, it is the second most spoken language in the world and the most widely used language across different countries. About 60 countries have English as their official language of communication and about 100 more have adopted it as their second language. Around the world when people speaking different language come together they usually use English to communicate.
Now why is it so important to learn or improve one’s Spoken English? Most of them want to learn English so that they don’t have to be embarrassed in front of others while communicating and others to be bilingual. But there is so much more to it.

Most of the signs in foreign countries as well as in India will come in the local language first and then in English, this also implies that English can be used as a medium of communication in that region. Hence knowing English will assist travellers throughout their journey in most part of the world.
It is always easier to find tour guides who speaks English when compared to ones who speak other foreign languages.
Entertainment
The world's most renowned and highest grossing movie industry is Hollywood and all the movies here are made and distributed in English.
Also, knowing how to read English will give one access to innumerable collection of books from various authors worldwide. These books and movies help in increasing a persons cultural understanding.
These are just the most common and widely needed areas for people mostly, but the advantages of learning to communicate in English is innumerable and it will open opportunities for you all over the world.
